i don't know how on earth i'm gonna top off that 1st blog. lol. 1st u should read this awesome thing i found........
LIFE IS SHORT
they say it takes a minute
to find a special person,
an hour to appreciate them,
a day to love them,
but an entire life
to forget them.
so so true!
a question 4 all u readers. lol.
do u think that you can be taught how to love?
i mean @ skool, @ uni, @ work, etc?
then why on earth do i feel as if i need to spend the rest of my life at skool so that i can learn how to love?
i mean wat's the point? i'm surprised they haven't invented the diploma of 'loving thy neighbour', it would go right next to the graduate degree of 'giving to charities'. lol. now i'm just being silly.
i just feel that to acheive in life i NEED to spend my life at skool, and i just don't see the point!
yes education is good, yes i'm going to finish year 12 and probably go to uni/tafe, but no way am i going to spend my life at skool when all i want to do is show people Gods love.
how on earth do you love your neighbour from a classroom?
how can u feed the poor with your certificates?
i could go on for ever, but i won't, don't get 2 happy1 lol.

It is not what you do with your time that matters but how you use that time and what you are doing with it.
Who is your neighbour? Anyone you come into contact with during your day to day life.
How do you love them? By seeing their need and doing whatever you can no matter how big or small to fulfil it.
You want a school to learn to love your neighbour? You should have one! Your church is where you learn to love your neighbour. You learn from older Christians and learn to care for the people there first because if you can't learn to love the people you like how can you love the ones that you don't like and need your love the most?
Just some thoughts.
Catch ya 'round,
Tish
hey alana! :p YES! I found your blog, and not by means of Melissa!
But what she said is exactly what I was thinking...you CAN 'love thy neighbour' at school, it doesn't literally mean your neighbour, just those around you, and I'm sure you know that :) And as Melissa said, what's a better place to witness and show God's love than to those in a public high school?
SFC (Students for Christ) at Uni's etc. What is their point? They're not just there to have fun, although that too, but to show and display God's love.
Also, a cert 4 in giving to charities, or whatever...compared to a phd to become doctor...it doesn't matter. It's just a piece of paper...it's how you act on the INSIDE and your character that counts. The worlds brainiest doctor can still be a witness to Christ's love for us and everyone...
Anyway!! Naomi..
great post alana!
One thing that i hate is when people say 'we need to do mission.' Or when people say itsour 'job' to love.
Loving people cannot and does not worki if it is fake.It is all very well for us to go and 'do what we're suppose to' but unless it is motivated by LOVE then it is nothing...
I think youre on the right track. Youre looking to love people.
Early salvo teaching was that we are compelled by Gods love to love others. We should be compelled by our love for other people to act.
If you have this love in you then just act on it. easy
if you dont have that love you need to ask God to fill you with His love. To give you 'the heart of God.'
read this article on becoming holy, (filled with pure love) it might help... http://www.armybarmy.com/article3-46.html
